Acceptable use policy

1. Content that is never permitted

Do not use Metabob to generate, upload or distribute:

Child sexual abuse material, or any sexualised depiction of a minor, real or synthetic. This is absolute, admits no artistic or research exception, and we report it to the authorities.

Non-consensual intimate imagery — sexual or nude depictions of a real, identifiable person made without their consent, including "undressing" an existing photograph.

Deceptive depictions of real people — realistic images of an identifiable individual saying or doing something they did not, presented as genuine. Clearly labelled satire and parody are a different thing; passing a fabrication off as real is not.

Content that incites or glorifies violence, terrorism, or the abuse of a person or group, or that attacks people on the basis of religion, caste, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability, race or ethnicity.

Material that is unlawful in India under the Information Technology Act 2000, the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita or any other applicable law.

2. Content that requires care

These are not banned outright, but misuse will get an account suspended:

Third-party intellectual property. Do not generate images intended to pass as the work of a particular living artist, or to reproduce a protected character, logo or trade dress for commercial use, without the rights to do so.

Likeness of real people. Get consent before using a real person's likeness commercially.

Political and electoral material. Synthetic imagery in an election context must be labelled as synthetic. Do not use Metabob to fabricate evidence of events.

Medical, legal and financial subject matter. Do not present generated imagery as a real diagnostic image, a real document, or evidence of a real financial fact.

3. Conduct

Do not attempt to defeat or circumvent our safety filters, including by splitting a prohibited request across prompts or encoding it. Do not probe, scan or stress-test the service, or attempt to access another user's account or content. Do not scrape the service, resell raw API access as your own generation service, or exceed the rate limits of your plan by running multiple accounts.

Do not use Metabob to develop a competing image-generation model, including by generating a corpus for training.

4. How we enforce this

Prompts and outputs pass through an automated classifier. Where something is flagged, a small number of authorised staff may review it.

Depending on severity we may refuse the generation, issue a warning, restrict features, suspend the account, terminate it, or — for the prohibitions in section 1 — report the matter to law enforcement and preserve the relevant records. We aim to be proportionate and to tell you what happened, except where telling you would defeat the purpose or is unlawful.

5. Reporting a problem

If you have found content generated on Metabob that breaks these rules, or an image that depicts you without your consent, write to help@metabob.in with enough detail for us to find it. Reports of non-consensual intimate imagery and of material involving minors are treated as urgent and actioned ahead of everything else.
